Summary

Port workers look on as the Cape Race slowly births at the Liberian National Port Authority’s Port of Buchanan, in Buchanan, Liberia, Feb. 16, 2015, while local port workers await its approach to the dock. The ship birthed so Soldiers from the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) could load and redeploy military equipment used in support of Operation United Assistance. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, medical training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for the International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
