Reba, a Golden Retriever with the Kare 9 Military Ministry, receives affection from her handler Joe Palmer, a former Air Force dog handler and current member of the ministry, at the August Daily Herald Cruise at Bloomingdale Court, Illinois, August 6 2020. The ministry was founded when a group of veterans learned of the suicide rate of veterans, at that point in time being 22 veterans a day, and felt it was their duty as fellow veterans to support military communities that are experiencing hardships.
