SABAH PROVINCE, Malaysia (Nov. 13, 2016) Senior leadership from the Malaysian Armed Forces, U.S. military and U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur stand with Malaysia-U.S. troops to give a “thumbs up” after the Final Exercise of Exercise Tiger Strike 16, Nov. 13, 2016. FINEX consisted of a bilateral amphibious assault. The Malaysia-U.S. forces launched from the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) in MV-22 Ospreys to an objective area where they worked together to secure an enemy held position. Tiger Strike is an opportunity for Malaysia and the United States armed forces to strengthen military-to-military partnerships and increases the ability of all participants to plan, communicate and execute amphibious operations.
