Summary

ADAZI, Latvia – A Soldier participating in Saber Strike 15, is given tactical and technical instruction during the Saber Strike 15 final ground-battle exercise, June 18, 2015 at the Adazi military training area in Adazi, Latvia. Michigan and Latvia have shared a state partnership since 1993. Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen and Latvian military forces and have trained and deployed together multiple times. The Saber Strike exercise was designed to improve joint operational capability in a range of missions and to prepare participating nations to support multinational contingency operations. Saber Strike 15 involved more than 6,000 participants from 13 different nations.
