Senior Airman David Kimbrough and Tech. Sgt. Josh Wedin examine communications wires beneath an aircraft shelter at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Nov. 25. Both Airmen are "wire dawgs" whose work takes them underground and into confined spaces. Kimbrough, a voice systems journeyman with the 332nd Expeditionary Communications Squadron and a native of Montgomery, Ala., is deployed from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Wedin, the 332nd ECS assistant NCO in charge of infrastructure systems and a native of Genesee, Idaho, is deployed from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.
