Summary

Sgt. 1st Class Kevin King, U.S. Army Central G9 operations sergeant, passes out Valentine's Day cards designed by local school children to veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Feb. 15, 2008 in recognition of National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week. Nearly 20 volunteer Soldiers from the command honored the veterans by participating in the medical center's 30th annual open house celebration. The Soldiers met with hospitalized Veterans and handed out Valentine's Day cards and letters which were crafted by local school children. USARCENT regularly furnishes volunteers and officially sponsored the facility Oct. 17, 2007.

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
