Sgt. Laura A. Reid, 17th Fires Brigade, is taken to the ground by an aggressor at one of six Army Warrior Tasks testing stations during the I Corps Soldier of the Year Competition on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, June 7. Reid recovered from the take down and successfully subdued the aggressor. The I Corps SOY Competition compiled the best and the brightest from the I Corps brigades and tested the Soldiers on everything from physical fitness to Army knowledge. The winner of this competition will move on to compete in the FORSCOM SOY Competition later this year.
