Sgt. Rodney Roberts, a primary marksmanship instructor, helps Rct. Nelson Gay, Platoon 1078, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, with his breathing and natural point of aim Sept. 9, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. Natural point of aim is the point where the sight settles after bone support and muscle relaxation are achieved. While weapons and technology may change, marksmanship fundamentals remain the same.
