Sgt. Sheena Adams, an instructor with I Marine Expeditionary Force, Advisor Training Cell, gives a big hug to two departing Marines before they loaded a bus for their deployment to Afghanistan from Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 20. Adams and other ATC instructors trained Female Engagement Team 12-1 for the past six months to prepare them for the deployment. "Know what your mission is," advised Adams. "Know what you can do, stand your ground and make changes out there. Do the best you can." The Marine Corps Female Engagement Team was created and implemented to build rapport with the men, women and children of Afghanistan.
