Summary

Soldiers and Families donate toys for those less fortunate in the 2nd annual “Ruck for Toys” event by the 10th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, at Fort Stewart, Ga., Dec. 4. The Soldiers and Families who participated in the event, conducted a ruck march with ruck sacks and back packs filled with toys. Following the ruck march, they put the toys into decorated boxes to be donated to charities in order to help those in the community who are in need this holiday season. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
