Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade out of Vicenza, Italy and 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, out of Hunter Army Airfield, Ga., along with airmen from the Latvian Air Force run down the taxiway of Lielvarde Airfield as part of the 10-Mile Shadow Run, Sept. 18. The run, which mirrors the Army Ten-Miler being held Oct. 9-10 in Washington, was conducted to increase camaraderie among U.S. and Latvian forces participating in Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing, multinational partnership focused on combined-training and security cooperation between the U.S. and other NATO allies.
