Soldiers from the 116th Military Police Company, 2nd platoon, out of Fort Riley, Kan., carry a role-player on a litter the evacuation site at Mascatatuck Urban Training Complex, Ind., July 31. The military policemen worked with medics during a patient evacuation exercise during Vibrant Response 13, a major field training exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North. “We try to stay up on all the skills that we can, we keep up on first aid as much as we can,” said Sgt. Joseph Thurn, a military policeman with the company and a native of Colorado Springs, Colo. “That’s why we can come out here and do as much as we do.”
