Soldiers from the Sault Ste. Marie-based 1437th Engineer Multi-Role Bridge Company, 107th Engineer Battalion, Michigan National Guard, extract a bridge erection boat from the St. Marys River in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., using an M1977 Common Bridge Transporter heavy expanded mobility tactical truck, June 13, 2015. The 1437th hosted an open house at the unit’s armory and invited the community to observe equipment and demonstrations of their bridge building capabilities on the St. Marys River between Lake Huron and Lake Superior.
