Spc. Juan Deniz and Spc. Jesus Enriquez attempt to dominate each other during the final event of the 36th Infantry Division, Division Special Troops Battalion’s, Soldier and Non-commission Officer of the Quarter competition. The three-day event was conducted on Contingency Operating Base Basra on the weekend of Feb. 25, which is the same weekend that the Texas Army National Guard is also conducting their competition. Staff Sgt. Luis Barronzamora and Deniz won the 1st place positions at the end of the night and will advance onto the United States Division – South Soldier and NCO of the Quarter competition scheduled for later this year.
