Specialist William Laws navigates through the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area backcountry during the 2018 Major Command-level Best Warrior Competition in Massachusetts on April 17, 2018. Laws and 17 other Soldiers from commands are competing for the honor of representing their commands at the United States Army Reserve Best Warrior Competition. The competitors are tasked with locating points spread out in the woodland in order to demonstrate their proficiency at map reading, compass operation and terrain association.
