Staff Sgt. Travis Musquiz (left) inspects the charges in a 105mm round for accuracy while Pvt. Allen Pettigrew (right) holds the 105 mm round, before it is loaded into the Howitzer during a live fire training exercise, Aug. 24. Paratroopers assigned to B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, conducted defensive live fire exercises during the brigade’s week-long field training exercise in preparation for a Joint Readiness Training Center rotation in October. As part of America’s Global Response Force, the Paratroopers of the 82nd Abn. Div. consistently train to be prepared to conduct any type of mission anywhere in the world on short notice.
