Description: Mission Pilot Brian Duffy in the aft flight deck during SAREX II transmissions. The Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment (SAREX) was established by NASA, the American RAdio Relay League/Amateur Radio Satellite Corporation, and the Johnson Space Center Amateur Radio Club to encourage public participation in the space program by citizen and school student real time communication with an astronaut aboard an orbiting vehicle.
