Summary
The original finding aid described this as:
Description: Preparation and suiting up for first extravehicular activity (EVA) of STS-72. Mission Specialist Dan Barry gets out an EVA prep kit containing the biomedical sensors (028, 030). View 029 of the middeck is very dark due to flash malfunction. Barry dons the liquid cooling and ventilation garment (LCVG) (031). Barry, now wearing the LCVG, pulls on the extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) lower torso, with an EVA suit donning kit containing EMU gloves and donning handles attached to the middeck lockers (034-36). Mission Specialist Leroy Chiao, having already donned the EMU lower torso, gives a thumbs-up (032-33). View of Chiao inside the airlock and Barry's lower legs (037).
