Task Force Marauder officially gained responsibility
Summary
Task Force Marauder officially gained responsibility of their mission in Afghanistan from Task Force Warhawk during a transfer of authority ceremony Oct. 28, 2017. Lt. Col. Robert Bryant and Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Coolbaugh, Task Force Warhawk, relinquished responsibility to Lt. Col. Brian Pipkin and Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Hancock, Task Force Marauder. Task Force Marauder is made up of Soldiers from South Carolina National Guard, Illinois National Guard, Iowa National Guard, as well as active duty component and provides aviation capabilities with AH64 Apaches, UH60 Black Hawks, CH47 Chinooks, and MEDEVAC assets in Afghanistan under the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade while deployed.
