Summary

Texas-based engineers representing the three Army service components of the 176th Engineer Brigade, Texas Army National Guard, 420th Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army Reserves and 36th Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army embarked on a 25-day construction project spanning 17 miles of road at Camp Bowie Training Center in Brownwood, Texas. Engineer Soldiers completed excavations, fills, hauls, borrow site operations, round and box culvert installations, headwall constructions and utilized more than 30,000 tons of aggregate. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
