The 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion, New Jersey
Summary
The 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion, New Jersey Army National Guard, received its first UH-72A Lakota helicopter at the Army Aviation Support Facility in West Trenton, N.J., Dec. 12, 2013. The Lakota performs counter-drug and medical evacuation missions as well as conducting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. The UH-72A is replacing aging UH-1 and OH-58A/C aircraft that are increasingly high cost to maintain and operate for these missions. The helicopter will be equipped with the Security & Support Battalion Mission Equipment Package and is equipped with state-of-the-art advanced technologies such as an electro-optical/infra-red sensor, searchlight, data display and collection systems and downlink capability.
