The Australian Army, Navy, and Air Force flag party stand by their post to raise and take down their flag during the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps Day Dawn Service in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, April 25, 2016. ANZAC Day commemorates the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps on the shores of Gallipoli during World War I and has become a holiday in Australia and New Zealand to honor veterans. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin honored the holiday by marching in the parade and participating in the ceremonies. MRF-D allows Marines and members of the Australian Defence Force to learn about one another’s customs and traditions.
