The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command hosted the Surface Warrior Challenge III “Three-Peat Triathlon”, Aug.12 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. SWC-III is a triathlon consisting of three events: swimming, biking and running. The Individual (Mini) - Consisted of an individual competitor conducting one lap in the pool, 1 lap around the Airfield on a bike, and a 1.6k run. The Team (Mini) - Same activities and distances as the Individual Mini, but allowed up to three team members to complete the course. The Individual (Full) - Consisted of an individual competitor conducting five laps in the pool, 3 laps around the airfield on a bike, and a 5k run. Team (Full) - Same activities and distance as the Individual Full, but allowed up to three team members to complete the course. Three-Peat (Individual) - Consisted of a swim-bike-run circuit (100m swim - 10.6k bike ride - 1.6k run) x3. Individuals completed in the swim-bike-run circuit three consecutive times.
