The project delivery team for the Tucson Sector 1,

The project delivery team for the Tucson Sector 1, 2, & 3 Barrier Replacement Project met with the project contractor at one of their remote sites in Tucson on June 28th. The contractor invited USACE out to observe the operations and preview the safety, quality, procedural and performance challenges with installing the individual bollard panels. The contractor demonstrated how the bollard panels will be installed by using “gadgets” they have specifically designed for panel installation. One of their gadgets is called the "nicholator". This operational site visit was combined with a design review meeting of the initial design package.
