Three F/A-18C Hornets from the aircraft carrier USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) fly in formation over Kuwait City during Operation Southern Watch, a multinational effort establishing a no-fly zone for Iraqi aircraft south of the 32nd parallel in Iraq. Each aircraft is armed with AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles on the wing tips and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles on the wing pylons. The two aircraft in the foreground are from Strike Fighter Squadron 147 (VFA-147) and the aircraft in the background is from VFA-146
