Tre’Yana Elliott, a student and Naval Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (NJROTC) cadet at the Bell Multicultural High School in the District of Columbia, cheers on some of the more than 6,000 runners nearing the finish line at the foot of the Washington Monument, during the 2014 Navy-Air Force 5-Miler/Half-Marathon. Elliott and fellow NJROTC cadets from the school, including Stanley Carroll, Dewit Amare and Abigail Poindexter, were part of a contingent of marathon cheerleaders on the sidelines as Champions for Military Families.
