U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Benjamin Hedden, Ninth Air Force command chief, looks over Grand Bay Range at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., Aug. 8, 2019. Hedden joined Maj. Gen. Chad Franks, Ninth Air Force commander, for the initial flight in Franks’ flagship aircraft, an HH-60G Pave Hawk assigned to the 41st Rescue Squadron. Franks, who on separate occasions served as the commander for the 23d Wing and 347th Rescue Group, is a command pilot with more than 3,300 hours in multiple aircraft including HC-130J Combat King II and HH-60G Pave Hawk.
