Mark Skarban, a loadmaster with the 731st Airlift Squadron, waits for a Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) training flight during a certification and recurrent training exercise at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., April 21, 2012. MAFFS is a portable fire retardant system that can be installed on C-130 Hercules aircraft to convert them into air tankers.
