U.S. Airmen from the 71st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Ga., and Pararescuemen from the 58th RQS, Nellis AFB, Nev., supporting the 45th Operations Group Detachment 3, conduct a pre-flight brief outside of an HC-130J Combat King II in support of Task Force 45 at Patrick AFB, Fla., May 27, 2020. During NASA’s slated launch of American astronauts to the International Space Station this week, the Department of Defense will be responsible for providing recovery and retrieval operations to ensure crewed spacecraft can be safely recovered in the event of a mission abort.
