Aaron Russell, 1st Sgt. of the 82nd Airborne Division Small Unit Ranger Tactics course, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, instructs Paratroopers assigned to various units within the 82nd on the requirements for the Ranger Fitness Test portion of the 82nd Annual Gavin Cup on 23 March, 2018 outside the Division headquarters building.The Gavin Cup is an annual competition meant to validate and assess the effectiveness and overall readiness of individual personnel and companies in fitness and wapon qualification. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
