U.S. Army Col. Shannon L. Boehm, in charge of military operations for U.S. Special Operations Command South, gives a presentation to Clemente Rohee, Guyana's Minister of Home Affairs, Guyana Defense Force Chief of Staff, Commodore Gary Best, Guyana Col. Bruce Lovell, Chief of Operations, and several members of the GDF and U.S. military during a senior leader's meeting, March 7, on Camp Stephenson, 25 miles outside of Georgetown. The meeting was about the ongoing activities and training in support of Exercise Fused 2012. The exercise involves the Guyana Defense Forces and U.S. military working together in order to enhance their collective ability to combat regional threats such as illicit trafficking. GDF and U.S. forces work together to improve interoperability in order to achieve these goals.
