Summary

U.S. Army engineers with the 858th Horizontal Engineer Company, 223rd Engineer Battalion, 168th Engineer Brigade, Mississippi Army National Guard use heavy construction equipment to construct an ammunition holding area on June 12, 2016 during Operation Resolute Castle at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria. Once complete, the ammunition holding area will allow larger units to conduct training operations in Bulgaria. During Resolute Castle, Engineer Brigades from both the Mississippi and Tennessee Army National Guard are teaming up to improve military infrastructure in Bulgaria as part of United States Army Europe’s efforts to strengthen security and relationships in Eastern Europe.
