U.S. Army Lt. Col. John Wojcik, left, staff judge advocate, Joint Force Headquarters, Michigan National Guard, talks to an Armed Forces of Liberia soldier during a break in instruction during a three-week legal training course at Edward Binyah Kesselly Military Barracks, Liberia, Jan 23. Approximately 50 AFL service members, including military police officers, investigators and paralegals, completed the three-week course that taught basics in detainee operations and military law procedures, among other topics. The legal training was one in a series of capacity building events designed to promote the developing AFL, which is being retrained and reequipped following several years of national strife.
