Steve Kremer, left, the commander of 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, from Cherokee, Iowa, directs U.S. Representative Leonard Boswell (D), right, from Iowa's 3rd Congressional District, to a mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle during Boswell's visit to the Laghman province at Forward Operating Base Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan, March 20. Boswell and several Congressional representatives, including Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, toured the Iowa National Guard's 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, area of operation in Laghman province, including a visit with Laghman province governor Mohammed Iqbal Azizi and to the Mastoori Girl's School in Mehtar Lam.

The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
