U.S. Army Sgt. Cory L. Gates, military police, 642nd Regional Support Group, demonstrates his keen sense of balance while crossing a log bridge on Pelham Range’s Confidence Course in Ft. McClellan, Ala., Aug. 23, 2017. Gates, a native of Conyers, Ga., led his team in completing more than a dozen obstacles designed to promote teamwork, build confidence and generate camaraderie. The course marked the 642nd RSG’s final chapter in its two-week annual training exercise that comprised a variety of tasks and missions aimed to enhance the unit’s capabilities through improved individual Soldier readiness.
