U.S. Army Sgt. Gomez and Sgt. Brandon Terrette, (center), instructed and supervised the ANA soldiers on the adjustment procedures that must be performed each time the barrel is installed. The outdoor training was to familiarize the ANA noncommissioned officers with the 2nd Kandak, 3rd Brigade, 201st Corps, headspace and timing of the .50 caliber machine gun mounted on ANA vehicles. Both Soldiers serve as advisers with Security Force Assistance Advisory Team 13 and are assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Regiment, based out of Fort Hood, Texas.
