U.S. Army Sgt. Patrick Lewis, a Queens, N.Y., native and an allied trade specialist in Company B, 703rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, welds rebar in the form of a grid to create a culvert denial system that will prevent access to culverts along Afghanistan’s Highway 1, at Forward Operating Base Shank, Afghanistan, June 11, 2013.
