U.S. Army Spc. David Nordyke of Ottumwa, Iowa, and an Afghan National Army soldier secure the area around an improvised explosive device site in Zormat District, Afghanistan, May 5 while waiting for an explosive ordnance disposal team to arrive and destroy the IED. The ANA and 1st Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Lethal, 2nd Brigade, 34th Infantry Regiment, TF Red Bulls found three IEDs, one of which was a hoax, six rocket-propelled grenades and more than 70 rounds of high-caliber ammunition during the dismounted patrol.
