U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jonathan A. Temple, a motor transport operator with Motor Transport Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, assigned to the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force, engages a target using an M16A4 rifle while conducting a stress shoot during Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 14 at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in San Antonio, Zambales province, Philippines, Oct. 6, 2013. A stress shoot incorporated physical exercises before shooting to increase the service members' fatigue in order to simulate combat conditions. PHIBLEX is a bilateral training exercise designed to improve the interoperability, readiness and professional relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps and partner nations.
