U.S. Marine Corps paratroopers prepare for a jump from a UH-60 Black Hawk in support of Emerald Warrior, John C. Stennis Space Center, Miss., May 6, 2014. The Marines were attached to the 4th Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company, and the 4th Reconnaissance Battalion. Emerald Warrior is an annual, joint exercise to train special operations, conventional and partner nation forces in combat scenarios designed to hone special operations air and ground combat skills, and is the Department of Defense's only irregular warfare exercise.
