U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Marcos Chavez-Rhodes, a professionally instructed gunman with Regimental Surveillance and Target Acquisition Company (RSTAC), 1st Marine Division, fires the M40A6 sniper rifle during a live fire drill at Fort Irwin, Calif., Oct. 2, 2017. RSTAC is an experimental company designed to build proficiency in scout sniper operations for service level exercises culminating in live fire full-mission profiles, reporting surveillance and reconnaissance control center operations and high-angle precision fires.
