U.S. Marine Master Sgt. Don Wersler (USMC ret.), the oldest marine present during the annual Marine Corps Birthday Pageant passes a piece of birthday cake to Pfc. Dillion Tyrakoski, the youngest marine present aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Nov. 5, 2014. It is Marine Corps tradition for the oldest Marine present to pass a piece of birthday cake to the youngest marine signifying the passing of tradition from oldest to youngest.
