U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. (ret.) Charlie Linville, who was medically retired after suffering an IED blast in Afghanistan, suffering an amputation, PTSD and a lower spine injury walks to a waiting F-15 with U.S. Air Force Maj. William Sullivan, 56th Operations Group Detachment 2, for a familiarization flight at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Oregon Nov. 14, 2016. After recovering from his physical and mental injuries Linville became the first combat injured veteran to summit Mt. Everest the highest peak in the world in May of 2016.
