U.S. Marines with the Logistics Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin (MRF-D), and Australian Army soldiers with 1st Combat Engineer Regiment, advise Timor-Leste Defense Force soldiers on water purification testing and techniques in order to have the ability to produce potable water during Exercise Hari’i Hamutuk, at Metinaro Military Base, Dili, Timor-Leste, Aug. 29, 2019. Hari'i Hamutuk is a multilateral exercise hosted by the Timor-Leste Defense Force, and includes participants from MRF-D, the U.S. Navy, the Australian Defence Force, and the Japan Self-Defense Force. This exercise allows the participating nations to improve relationships by working together in a combined environment and through the exchange of subject matter expertise.
