Oscar Kizhner, a flight surgeon, July 21, 2016. Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa medical personnel conducted FAST exams using a medical tent, or Shock Trauma Platoon, containing a surgical suite, called a Forward Resuscitative Surgical System, which makes it possible for forward deployed doctors to perform lifesaving surgical procedures in the event of a crisis.
