Gary Washington, 316th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III loadmaster, directs the driver of a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle onto a C-17 during an airlift mission, July 26, 2013, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic and tactical delivery of troops and any type of cargo to main operating and forward operating bases in Afghanistan.
