As part to the preparation for Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, "Toon" a SENIOR AIRMAN with Air Force Civil Engineers uses a spade to cleans up a trench excavated with a backhoe before the drainage pipe is laid. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
