US Army soldiers from the 74th Assault Floating Bridge Company, Fort Hood, Texas, and the 502nd Assault Floating Bridge Company, Hanau, Germany, are designing and constructing a 313.5-meter long, 13.5-meter wide bridge, across the Sava River, near the Bosnia-Herzegovina town of Orasje and the Croatian city of Zupanja. An M812 5 ton (6 x 6) truck is backed into the river and a Ribbon Bridge interior bay on the truck is just entering the water. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
