The Broad-area Unmanned Responsive Resupply Operations (BURRO) is used in conjunction with the Slice Multi-Task Boat (only flight deck is seen) for providing over the horizon sea-based logistics. The BURRO (also known as the KAMAN K-1200 K-MAX Helicopter) is also used for resupplying ships at sea. It is currently on the flightdeck of the Slice Boat (Prototype) at Coast Guard Island in Oakland, California, due to its participation in Fleet Battle Experiment Echo. Also seen in the frame is a right side front view of the U.S. Coast Guard High Endurance Cutter, USCGC SHERMAN, (WHEC-720). This mission is in direct support of Urban Warrior '99

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
