Air Force is helping San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding Bexar County test a program to rehabilitate juvenile delinquents convicted of minor offenses. There were ten young men and women, ages 17 to 18 entered basic military training at Lackland AFB, Texas. The purpose of the program is to allow these young people the opportunity to train with the very best America has to offer. The youngsters must have parental consent and can withdraw at any time. The program came in response to a request from District Court Judge Andy Mireless

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
